The IB Diploma Programme

The IBDP was first established in 1968 by teachers from the International School of Geneva. The programme was designed for students aged 16-19 to provide them with a balanced education and promote an international understanding. Innovative, committed teachers and examiners from around the world have since played a significant role in the development of the programme.

Through the DP, schools can develop students who have excellent breadth and depth of knowledge, flourish physically, intellectually, emotionally, and ethically.

It creates students who are bilingual, and excel in traditional academic subjects and explore the nature of knowledge through the programme’s unique Theory of Knowledge course.
